For the night before, the morning of, while he's in surgery, and after.
Lord, I bring You my husband.
Surgery is coming, and I would take his place if they'd let me.
Be in that room I'm not allowed to enter —
steady every hand, quiet every fear,
and bring him safely through to the other side.
Guard the life we share and the days still to come.
What I can't carry, I leave with You.
